Darin & Monica

Darin and Monica both came to The Shenandoah Valley to attend high school. As they walked the sidewalks they would talk about how they felt called to ministry and would often dream about what that would look like for them and their family in the future.

They finally found themselves in their dream ministry situation surrounded by a huge community of family and friends when Jesus tugged on their hearts to – GO. What they thought that call was would become a radical discipleship journey. In that season the Father whispered to their hearts, “If you want to lead you must first learn to follow”. For the past 9 years they have been in a wilderness of devotion where they began to realize that proximity was the new promotion. It was then that they stopped praying to be delivered from the wilderness and their prayer became turn our wilderness into the promise land!

They finally arrived at the place that sitting at the feet of Jesus was more than enough, but then, the phone rang. On the other side of the phone was a life long friend -asking if we would ever consider coming back to The Church. After many confirmations they gave God a fresh yes.

In a time of post-modern Christianity and seemingly bleak times for our Nation and the Church we know that is when our God shows Himself faithful. Who dares defy our God, the God of Israel? The Church is the only answer in this hour to rise up and take our seat of authority and the gates of hell will not prevail against us.
