Undercover Christians
Psalm 26:4-5
“I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with hypocrites. I abhor the assembly of evildoers and refuse to sit with the wicked.”
We think commingling for the sake of advancing the gospel is a great strategy. I’m here to tell you that you’re playing Russian roulette with the devil. This is a dangerous strategy. David said he won’t even sit with the deceitful or associate with hypocrites. He said he avoids those who do evil and wicked.
God never intended us to become undercover Christians. This isn’t a sting operation. Your life should offer something that is so irresistible that the wicked come to you and say whatever you have I want it. The peace you have, the joy, love, wisdom, and strength. The problem is the world isn’t seeing a visible difference between them and Christians.
It’s time to blow our cover! Reveal your identity. Present those who don’t have Jesus with a choice. Right now, the world doesn’t have to choose because we have fed them this lie that the gospel is all inclusive. The gospel presents everyone with a choice. Everyone is included when it comes to the opportunity to make the choice between death or life.
The gospel says choose today whom you will serve…
Joshua 24:14-15
“Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
