For The Future

Psalm 102:18

“Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord.”

We fully believe much of what God is writing/speaking through us is for future generations. Most people are looking for instant gratification. As a society we want people to respond immediately to what we are doing. We want to see the results right away. Since God is outside of time, when He decides to use individuals for His plans He could very well be doing something in the earth now that is intended for 500 years from now.

It’s the life of the one who isn’t fulfilled by the praises of people that God will be able to use the most. Whether that is for this age or another age. We’re not writing/recording for people, even though we are writing/recording for people! There is that contradiction. We’re writing/recording because God told me to write! I’m not publishing books to sell copies. I’m doing it to be obedient. When you begin to operate your life from a posture of obedience the result of your obedience will always produce a better result than chasing the cheese that the world puts in front of you.

If you live for the praises of people you will die by their criticism. 

We need to shift from making decisions that produce a better natural result to making the decision to be obedient to the spirit. Then and only then will we begin to see supernatural results.
